LDA and Norsepower join forces for RoRo fleet
8 February 2024: In a historical wind propulsion deal, the French shipowner, Louis Dreyfus Armateurs SAS (LDA) and the Finnish mechanical sail company, Norsepower Oy Ltd, have announced that the Norsepower Rotor Sail™ technology will be installed on the new low-emission RoRo fleet to be chartered to Airbus.
The next generation Norsepower Rotor Sail™ control system provides LDA with better efficiency and real-time savings reports, guaranteeing the timely and environmentally friendly moving of Airbus aircraft components.

3 Norsepower Rotor Sails for Oldendorff
5 February 2024: Oldendorff and Norsepower have announced an agreement to use Norsepower Rotor Sails™ to further reduce CO2 emissions a modern bulk carrier.
The vessel Dietrich Oldendorff (IMO 9860350) is to be outfitted with three 24m x 4m Norsepower Rotor Sails™ by mid-2024. It is contracted to be employed on a North Pacific trade route to Asia.

KENZFIGEE Ram Luffing Crane for SOFIA HDVC
February 2023, KenzFigee has delivered a Ram Luffing Offshore Pedestal Crane with a 40-meter long boom and a SWL of 25t to Sembcorp yard (PT SMOE) in Batam – Indonesia.
The unique low maintenance crane will be placed on the HVDC converter platform located at Sofia Offshore Wind Farm – North Sea.

SAFELINK wins new contracts on US east coast
October 2022, Safelink has announced several new contracts for hook-based active heave compensators (AHC’s), including for offshore wind projects on the east coast of the United States.
Three new AHC’s are currently being built, one of which has a Safe Working Load (SWL) of a whopping 1250 tonnes, making it likely to be the world’s most powerful inline AHC when delivered in spring 2023.

Norsepower Rotor Sails for CO2 carriers
Norsepower, the leading global provider of auxiliary wind propulsion systems announced on 18th August 2022, that a contract has been signed with Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd. for the delivery of one 28x4m Norsepower Rotor Sail per vessel, onboard two new liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered, wind-assisted CO2 carriers commissioned by Northern Lights JV.

RECORD DELIVERY – SAFELINK
Seven new SAFELINK units are ready and lined up in our manufacturer’s assembly hall. Over the next few weeks, they will be shipped out to several of SAFELINK’s customers around the world.
The safe working load range (SWL) of the products is from 400t SWL to 750t SWL. Six of the units will be used for offshore wind, and the semi-active unit will be used for subsea installations at water depths of more than 2500 meters. Read more HERE:

Europort 2021 – Rotterdam
